WISper 1.0

Wisper is a public art new program developed by the MUD Foundation INC that's bringing together the worlds of art, technology, and public spaces to create immersive digital art interventions that transform the way we experience the world around us. The name "WISPer" comes from the combination of "Whisper" and "WISP," or Wireless Internet Service Provider, reflecting our commitment to making digital art accessible to everyone.

Wisper is powered by a cutting-edge XR metaverse designed to enable artists, technologists, organizations and designers to create digital art interventions that activate public spaces and engage audiences in new and exciting ways. Whether you're interested in creating interactive installations, immersive experiences, or other digital art forms, WISPer will offer a range of web-based tools and resources that make accessible to bring your intervention to the public space.

Device agnostic: WISPer's XR metaverse is a web-based platform that supports VR and AR experiences accessible through any internet-connected device. It's device-agnostic, making immersive digital art interventions accessible to anyone, anywhere.

Interface agnostic: Interface-agnostic technology is designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing it to work seamlessly with any type of device or interface. We use WebXR: WebXR API is a set of tools that enables developers to create virtual and augmented reality experiences that can be accessed through web browsers. This API allows users to interact with immersive XR experiences using any web-enabled device, making it more accessible and user-friendly. In the context of the WISPer program, WebXR API is used to create immersive digital art interventions that can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection.
