New Features
Introducing Instant Access for Collaboration — Instantly bring users into your workspace without requiring full account setup.
What It Is
Workspaces are shared environments that group related content into independent spaces. The Instant Access link creates a dedicated entry point where users can join your workspace using an instant account.
What Users Can Do
With Instant Access, you can:
- Generate a unique portal access URL tied to your workspace
- Allow users to create temporary accounts using a display name and personal access code
- Enable immediate entry for collaboration, learning sessions, or live events
You can also manage all Instant Access users directly:
- View all generated usernames and access codes
- Copy or reveal access codes as needed
- Recover user access if credentials are lost
This is especially useful for educators, workshop facilitators, and teams onboarding new participants quickly.
Manage workspaces more efficiently — A new dedicated workspace-management settings area gives you clearer control over projects, permissions, and organization.
What It Is
The Workspace management has been centralized into a dedicated interface, allowing owners and admins to control settings, members, and access from a single location.
What Users Can Do
With the Workspace management, users can:
- Disable or enable the workspace
- Transfer workspace ownership
- Invite users
- View all collaborators
- Assign and update roles
- Create Instant Access portals
Live Transcription & Translation — Break down language barriers with real-time captions and multilingual conversations in the Metaverse.
What It Is
The new Transcription Agent provides live closed captions and real-time transcription during in-world conversations. With optional translation support, the agent automatically detects the language being spoken and generates captions in one or more selected languages, making immersive experiences more accessible for multilingual audiences.
What Users Can Do
With the Transcription Agent, users can:
- Display live closed captions during conversations.
- Enable real-time transcription for in-world voice interactions.
- Automatically translate captions into one or multiple target languages.
- Support multilingual collaboration without requiring participants to speak the same language.
- Configure the agent with custom names, translation settings, and supported languages.
For Artists, Creators, Educators & Builders: What This Means
These updates focus on creating more engaging collaboration experiences while giving organizations greater control over how immersive events are managed and delivered:
- Event Hosts can deliver more engaging meetings with the new adaptive 2D participant layouts, synchronized room views, and easier access to AI-generated meeting summaries.
- Creators can build smarter workflows with the new OpenAI Summary Agent, improved asset organization, and enhanced search and filtering tools in Creator Studio.
- Administrators gain greater control over room resources, activation management, and event configuration, including support for custom virtual locations using published Verses or external meeting platforms like Zoom and Google Meet.
- Organizations benefit from improved onboarding, larger activation room capacities, and more reliable meeting management across the MUD XR Platform.
